A guide providing information and advice on the Regulations concerning the Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road, this publication provides a concise guide to the exemptions available to Transport Operators.
Most transport operators have little experience of the regulations surrounding the carriage of dangerous goods. The smaller operator in particular will have no point of reference to refer to in order to find out if they are legally allowed to carry dangerous goods without application of all the requirements, including the costly training of drivers.
This is the second edition of the exemption guide, which takes the relevant UN numbers and exemptions from the 2019 ADR regulations. This enables the operator to clarify which dangerous goods can legally be carried within the limitations of the transport operation, without the need to seek specialist advice or training.
The UN numbers are listed in a table format which provides an easy reference on how to use the data within the regulatory framework.
